Let’s Unite! ¡Unámonos!
Did you know that in the U.S., cardiovascular diseases kill approximately one women every 80 seconds? The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
Go Red For Women® advocates for more research and swifter action for women's heart health. We encourage women and their families to take action and live a healthier life. Let’s unite. Together we are making a difference. Join us at GoRedForWomen.org and at this year’s Go Red For Women luncheon.
2018 Go Red Luncheon Co-Chairs:
Heart disease is the number one killer of women, claiming the lives of one in three women—more lives than all cancers combined. It is so important for women to know their risks and to take positive action for their lifestyle. We also believe it’s important to have a partner in health – someone who helps keep you accountable for your daily choices. For us, its each other, as sisters. We keep each other on track, eating healthy and staying physically active. We even workout together.
That’s why we are co-chairing this year’s 2018 Go Red For Women Luncheon. We believe so strongly in the importance of a partner, we’re even working on educating other women together. We look forward to sharing our story of partnership in health at the luncheon this year and we hope to inspire you to share your journey with a partner too.
According to the American Heart Association, about 80 percent of heart disease and stroke may be prevented by making simple lifestyle changes, knowing your health numbers, and knowing and sharing your family health history with your doctor. At this special half-day event, we’ll learn from experts, hear stories of success and survival and be inspired to make positive choices in our daily lives.
Making women’s health a priority means that we can prevent heart disease and stroke and avoid a life of illness. By living strong, healthy lives women can be leaders, change-makers, and innovators. Healthy, they will enjoy more time to be moms, partners friends and sisters.
